2. Information we collect

We only collect information we actually need to serve you. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

a. Information you give us directly

  • Contact details — your name, mobile number, WhatsApp number and email address.
  • Appointment details — the service you want, your preferred stylist, date and time, and whether you are booking in the men’s or women’s salon.
  • Service history and preferences — services previously taken, products used, stylist notes, and preferences such as hair type or allergies that you choose to tell us so we can treat you safely.
  • Payment information — the amount, date and method of payment. We do not store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials; card and UPI payments are handled by our payment partner or bank.
  • Messages and media — the content of messages, images or voice notes you send us on WhatsApp, by email or through the enquiry form on this website, such as a reference photo of a hairstyle.
  • Feedback and reviews — ratings, complaints or testimonials you share with us.

b. Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page and time spent on the site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see section 6.
  • Message metadata — when you message us on WhatsApp we receive your WhatsApp phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, and the date, time and delivery status of messages.

We do not knowingly collect government identity numbers, biometric data, caste or religious information, or financial account credentials. Please do not send such information to us on WhatsApp or by email.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal data to:

  • book, confirm, reschedule and cancel your appointments;
  • send you appointment reminders and follow-up messages;
  • answer your questions about services, prices and availability;
  • deliver the service you booked and keep a record of your service history so our stylists can maintain your look;
  • process payments and issue bills or receipts;
  • send you offers and packages — only where you have opted in, and always with a way to opt out;
  • handle feedback, complaints and redo or refund requests;
  • operate, secure and improve this website;
  • meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not rent or trade your contact details or WhatsApp number to advertisers, data brokers or any other third party.

4. WhatsApp Business messaging

We use the WhatsApp Business Platform to communicate with customers. This section explains exactly how that works.

a. How a conversation starts

We message you on WhatsApp only after you have given us your number and opted in to be contacted there. An opt-in is recorded when you:

  • message us first on WhatsApp, or tap a “Chat on WhatsApp” button on this website, on Instagram, on Facebook or on Google;
  • give your WhatsApp number and consent while booking in the salon, over the phone, or through the enquiry form on this website; or
  • scan a QR code or click a link that we publish for WhatsApp enquiries.

b. What we send you

  • Service messages — appointment confirmations, reminders, rescheduling and cancellation notices, stylist availability updates, bills, and replies to your questions.
  • Marketing messages — seasonal offers, packages and new service announcements. These are sent only to customers who have opted in to marketing, and never more often than is reasonable.

c. How to opt out

You can stop receiving WhatsApp messages from us at any time. Reply STOP to any of our WhatsApp messages, or tell us in the chat that you no longer wish to be contacted, and we will stop sending messages to that number. You may also email infinitycuts2017@gmail.com with the number to be removed. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages about an appointment you have actively booked; to stop those as well, tell us and we will contact you by phone instead.

d. The role of WhatsApp and Meta

WhatsApp is provided by WhatsApp LLC, part of the Meta group of companies. When you message us on WhatsApp, your messages are transmitted and processed through Meta’s infrastructure, and Meta’s own terms and privacy policy apply to that transmission in addition to this policy. We do not control WhatsApp’s own data practices.

Please review WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy to understand how WhatsApp handles your information.

We may use a licensed WhatsApp Business Solution Provider to send and receive messages on our behalf. Such a provider processes message data strictly on our instructions, under contract, and only for the purposes described in this policy.

e. What we do not do on WhatsApp

  • We do not send messages to numbers that have not opted in.
  • We do not share your WhatsApp number or chat content with other customers or with advertisers.
  • We do not ask for your card details, OTP, UPI PIN or passwords on WhatsApp. If you receive such a request claiming to be from us, do not respond — contact us on the numbers listed in this policy.
  • We do not use your chat content to build advertising profiles.

6. Cookies and analytics

This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working correctly and to understand how visitors use it. We may use analytics services such as Google Analytics, and measurement tools provided by Meta, which set cookies and collect aggregated usage data.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some features of the site, but you will still be able to view our services and contact details.

Some pages embed content from third parties, such as Google Maps, Instagram and Facebook. Those providers may set their own cookies when the embedded content loads.

7. How we share information

We share personal data only in the following situations:

  • Service providers — messaging and WhatsApp Business Solution Providers, appointment and billing software, website hosting, email and analytics providers, and payment gateways. They may access your data only to perform services for us and are bound to keep it confidential.
  • WhatsApp and Meta — as described in section 4, where you choose to communicate with us on WhatsApp.
  • Professional advisers — accountants and legal advisers, where needed.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities — where disclosure is required by law, a court order or a lawful government request, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of our customers and staff.
  • Business transfer — if the salon is sold, merged or reorganised, customer records may transfer to the new owner, who will remain bound by this policy.

Some of our service providers operate servers outside India. Where personal data is transferred outside India, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with this policy and with applicable law.

8. How long we keep data

  • Appointment and service records — kept while you remain an active customer and for up to three years after your last visit, so we can maintain your service history.
  • WhatsApp conversations — kept for up to 24 months after the last message, to resolve disputes and provide continuity of service.
  • Billing and tax records — kept for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law, currently up to eight years.
  • Marketing consent and opt-out records — kept for as long as needed to honour your choice, including after you opt out, so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
  • Website analytics data — retained in aggregated form according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it so that it can no longer be linked to you.

9. How we protect your data

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include access controls on the devices and accounts used to run the salon, encrypted transport for our website and messaging, limiting staff access to what each role needs, and reviewing the security practices of our providers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access — ask what personal data we hold about you and a summary of how it is processed.
  • Correction — ask us to correct or complete inaccurate or outdated data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data where we are not required to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for marketing or for WhatsApp messaging at any time.
  • Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us about how your data has been handled.
  • Nominate — nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 14. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally 30 days.

11. Privacy of minors

We serve children in the salon, but we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from anyone under 18 through this website or through WhatsApp. A booking for a child must be made by a parent or guardian, and we rely on that parent or guardian to provide the necessary consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without such consent, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

Our website and our messages may link to third-party sites and platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps and WhatsApp. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, technology or legal obligations change. The current version is always published on this page with the effective date shown at the top. If we make a significant change, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example by a notice on this website or a message on WhatsApp. Continuing to use our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.

14. Contact us

For any question, request or complaint about this policy or about your personal data — including data access, correction, deletion or a WhatsApp opt-out — please contact our grievance contact:
